I brought a chocolate chip sea star one year ago and he was missing an arm when i got home from the store.
Maybe a shrimp ate it because i have a shrimp in my tank and i have a serpent star that is just fine. My CC sea star is losing arms.
I returned my shrimp. Does anyone have any thoughts on what is going on

Hi, Welcome to the site,

Shrimps are part of the CUC (clean up crew). It ate the dead arm AFTER it fell off. The shrimp will not eat the star unless it's dying or already dead.

Do some water tests and give us the result readings...Actual numbers, not a blanket statement such as saying..."all is good"

Stars are very, very sensitive to sudden changes, or deteriorating water quality.
