thank you dr evil , yeah i dont have reefs , the lighting costs to much for my budget right now , when i upgrade my tank ill probably do that i saw a bow front 300 gallon at my hole in the wall LFS today stand and everything $2000 , im hoping my new job brings in that kind of cash , cuuuuuuuuz it could be myeyeyeyeine!

seastars should not be an impulse purchase....your water parameters, tank age, and acclimation are very important. For starts, the specific gravity should be 1.025-1.026.
we feed ours a sliver of shrimp every few days. And he will eat your snails regardless of their size. They can flip them over and then suck them right otta the shell :scared:
So needless to say we are occaisonally finding empty shells

Unfortunately, this is not true. Even sarcastically. They are moderately hardy, but this is relative for seastars. An unfortunate number still die at the hand of this hobby, and of the souvenir trade.
hmmmmm , good to know , hes doing great , but my tank is at 1.025 , with good levels , the only thing that it isnt what you mentioned is , it hasnt been established long , its like 25 days old , but it cycled in 14 days
