Yep, it's really cool! We have them all over the place here, they're expensive though. We have a big yard and plenty of room for are "leftover" Christmas trees, so we love to do it!

It's in a pot or bag. Kelli, correct me if I am wrong. I use a fake tree each year. It looks great and isn't a pain to deal with. I have a wood stove that I use. The needles would be a complete mess. I will stick with my fake tree.
Yep, it's in a bag. We don't have such a mess with the tree since it's still alive and doesn't dry out.

::gasp:: you can DO that?? OMG!!! that is SO COOL!!!!
How does that WORK????
Yep, the kids love it! You just dig a hole ahead of time (before the ground freezes) and then plant it when you're done. Then every year we decorate our old trees out in the yard with lights.

i think there's a company in san francisco that "rents" real trees. you rent it for the christmas season, and when its over, they come pick it up and replant it for a couple of seasons later.

I"m jewish but ever since I got married I've got a tree in my house. I definitely prefer the real one even though going to cut one down is a pain in the but. The fake ones just look so, well, fake to me...
