I have Amazon prime. 79.00 a year to avoid sales taxes and it covers free 2 day shipping on most items. I spend about 4 grand on there this year.

If you or someone you know is a student at a University you can get a year of Amazon Prime for free. All you need is a valid .edu email.

Colorado is trying to collect sales tax on online sales. Amazon fired all their Colorado associates once they passed the bill. Only thing I've ever been taxed for is stuff shipped from companies with a brick and mortar presence in the state and strangely enough Kindle books. Not sure what that is about. I bought a lap top from Comp USA and they sent a notice that I was responsible for paying sales tax on it. Yeah, that's gonna happen. LOL!

yeah, for the most part states charge you sales tax on internet sales when the company has a store in state. Like if I buy something online from bestbuy sales tax. :(

Gemmy, I may follow you into hiding... Not even sure how shopping is going to happen this year, :( somehow we'll manage, but it won't be like Christmases in the past that's for sure.
The adults (my children) that live in our house (both of them) will have to understand that things are tight right now, and the grand baby punkin head is first this year. I'm pretty sure they get it, but there's nothing like the slap of reality when it hits you in the face. :( it's going to suck!
They're all used to getting things like, computers, iPods, and you know, things that fit in the stocking but cost more than the dang mortgage! Not this year...
Should just have an old fashion Christmas, have everyone make gifts for each other, say happy birthday to the "birthday boy" and be grateful we have good food and family to enjoy! NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! :) :)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
