Chromis lifespan?

Does anyone know what the lifespan of a chromis is?
I bought 2 green and 1 yellow to cycle my 10g and get it ready for clownfish. It's been a couple of months and my tank is in good shape, but I don't have the heart to take the little guys back to my LFS to trade for clownfish. I know my question sounds bad.... I'm not waiting for them to die or anything but if they're pretty hardy and live for many years, maybe I'll have to try and set up another tank (next one bigger!)

I think you may be looking for a larger tank. The blue green chromis can live from 8 - 15 years.

goodness gracious! thankfully they have loads of personality... and you're right - looks like a bigger tank is in the works for me in the near future.
