This little tank is awesome. I hem hawed around for a long time about purchasing it. There weren't many people out there talking about it or rating it for that matter.
Here's the rundown:
30 gallon finnex m-tank 150w mh 2-24w t5 actinic
dsb fuge
Tunze 9002 skimmer--the stock skimmer is o.k but didnt fit the chamber correctly and has no real adjustment.
Tunze osmolator top off
Tunze titanium 150 watt heater
40 lbs natures ocean bimini pink arag sand
40 lbs tonga kaelini rock--cured it for two months
Just a start

Just like mine. I don't have it setup right now, but it is a nice tank. Same lighting too. Careful of the glass though. I thought tempered was harder to scratch then regular but after putting many scratches in it with a magfloat and getting a replacement pane for the front from Finnex I did some reading on tempered glass. It is stronger, but the process to make it stronger makes the outside softer, the inner stronger so when it breaks it does not shard.
I use a plastic credit card now to clean the glass.

Thanks for the tip FLricordia! Actually, I got my inspiration for this tank from you a long time ago when you first got yours. If I'm not mistaken you had packed yours with all those gorgeous rics. Awesome just Awesome! Did you ever set up the stock skimmer? I used mine to cure my rock and it did o.k. just couldnt get it adjusted right.

No. Never used it. Still brand new. Did yours break -in fairly quick?

The stock skimmer produced good skimmate for abot two weeks. Then the skimmate got progressively lighter as the rock produced less waste. But of course I couldn't keep it adjusted right and figured if it won't skim correctly in my cure vat, it probably wasn't going to skim in the 30 real well either. The Tunze 9002 is doing a great job so far.

Hey FLricordia,
I ran across a great way to mod those nasty no good magfloats. Saw a diy post on it but can't remember where. Use a peice of filter felt pad cut to fit the mag. Works great and the felt is nice and soft.
