Cinnamon Clown questions, help please.

I like clownfish, but I don't like the standard true/false clownfish. Snowflakes, midnights, two spots, they are all very pretty, but out of my budget for a fish. I was thinking about a pair of clarkii clowns, but they just don't have the same appeal to me as a cinnamon clown. Everything that I have read said that the minimum tank size is a 30g, and they can grow up to 4.7 inches.
Q1: Can I reasonably fit a cinnamon clown in a 20g tank?
Q2: If I can, will it try to eat a cleaner shrimp? I know it will eat other smaller shrimp, but I'm not sure about this combo.
Some input will be greatly appreciated. If someone knows of an odd ball clownfish thats reasonably priced that can fit in a 20g tank, lemme know. Keep in mind that I have a 10g sump, a large algae scrubber and soon a tunze nano skimmer. I'll have plenty of filtration, just don't want to cramp the fish. If I can't have one, then I'll end up putting one in a clients tank to enjoy it there. lol!

If everyone says no to a cinnamon clown, what's the chances of keeping a maroon clown in a 20g tank successfully?

What about a pink skunk clown? More along the lines of Cinnamon's color/shape wise, but more true/false perc. sized, and are equally less aggressive, and are probably less commonly kept they all of the ones mentioned. There also is an Orange Skunk morph.
I don't think a 20gal would be the worst home for a Cinnamon. It would have to be the only fish though. The problem might be keeping one of the larger species of anemone with the clown, in only a 20gal (swinging parameters, and what not). Cinn's would need a larger nem, something like a carpet or big LTA, so they don't beat the snot of out some small BTA. We had our Cinnamon with a Haddoni.
The clown itself should be fine in the 20gal. They "stay home" alot and obviously aren't huge swimmers. It may be a little off-putting to see such a chunky fish in a smaller tank.

Cinnamon and Maroon clowns don't necessarily need an anemone, right? I guess I'll have to do some more research.
I'm fine with such a large fish in a 20g. The fish aren't at the top of my list of favorite things in saltwater aquaria.

Next year when I get settled in my new place, I plan on upgrading to a 125g. I'm sure a maroon clown wouldn't outgrow a 20g tank in a year, if bought small enough...
Right now I'm having to let my tank sit fallow for the next 8 weeks, because the clown I bought at the LFS had ich. I don't want to risk the next fish getting ich, if ich is present in the tank. The last clown I had, jumped. :(
I'll look at some pink skunk and orange skunk morphs and see if I like it more. I really like cinnamons and maroons, cause not everyone has them, and they do get a little bigger. I think big clownfish are pretty.

I think I'm going to get a small maroon clown. I like em' the most. I might add a neon goby and a yellow clown goby to watch them perch places, but after that I'll be maxed in terms of fish. I plan on doing an SPS dominated reef, so I have to be very picky about what fish I want. I'm going to sit on the idea for a few more weeks before I make up my mind. I might decide to get something else entirely. lol.

I have a maroon and she has been a really fun fish...granted I have had a hard time finding fish that she is good with. I got two in the beginning, and she killed her mate! I just added a Huma Tang, and they seem to get along GREAT! The tang is really small right now, they are about the same size, so I was really nervous that the clown would get territorial. Every time the Tang goes into the maroons corner (it happens to be in the top of the tank, nowhere near the rocks), the maroon swims a tad more frantically, but just next to the tang. They haven't had any issues so far. So in my opinion, maroons are great!

Maroons and Cinnamon clownfish, I've read, will defend their territory and their anemones from any fish that threatens it. Especially butterfly fish.
Like I said, I'm going to think about it for a little while. I'm going to watch some videos and mull over it for a bit.
If not a clown, then what's the one fish you would choose for your 20g tank? hmm?

A royal Gramma or an orchid dottyback. I love the color of the maroon clowns but I heard they are mean. I have been sick of my perc clowns from day one, but my mother likes them....Clowns are the most boring fish I have ever owned...all they do is stay in a corner and swim in place...BLAH

The neon would indeed bring both movement and color into the set up however, might be one of the last fish you put in there. They, as you may be aware, are both territorial and aggressive. One of mine literally deboweled another fish I had, very groooooosome indeed.

If I didn't get a maroon clown, I would like to have the following:
1 yellow clown goby
1 purple firefish
2 oc. clownfish
1 neon goby
That's what I'll probably end up getting anyways. lol.
I'm still debating though.
