So I picked up some cinnamon palys today for $8 a polyp and got three polyps. Is this a good price? They are the first ones I've seen at a lfs in my area. I actually just found this place and it's amazing....I'm going to go broke now. I'll post pics when they open up later.

My LFS wanted $10 per polyp, so you did good.
I decided to wait.

They'll open more....they are "adjusting".

8 is good. Those are such slow growers so some go for a lot! I was look at some site lsat niht that had them 200 for a 5 polyp frag!

That sucks they grow so slow Anything special I should feed them or will phyto be fine. What about lighting. I've got 4x94 watt pc's with all of my zoas. How high should I place them in the tank

very few corals consme phyto. most are zooplanktivores. you'll want to feed them meaty foods if your going to feed them.

what kind of meaty foods? so by me putting phyto in my tank it's really not doing anything? What should I be feeding my corals then. I have mainly zoas, a couple shrooms, and a frogspawn

Grandis have got to be one of the most varying price polyp around. Some sites have em for 10 a polyp and another site has em for 60 a polyp?

i think allot of it has to do with the different color morphs of them. I hope no websites are selling the brown ones for more then 5$ a polyp.
I have a few of mine that are totally white now.. to much light i suppose but it looks better imo then all brown.

Yeah, I heard they can morph and lose color easily. They were under some bad ass LED light that was equivalent to a 4x250 MH. I've got them in 4x94 pc for now so def not too much light.

i have my off set under 250 watt. They are a slow grower i think because in the pic you can see the canapy covers the stems and the new buds have a hard time getting light. I have a total of 15 parents and under them is 8 new babys trying to make it.
I have seen them from 8 dollars up to 20 per polyp any higher then that is crazy.
I was selling them for 6.00 and 7 a polyp, i thought that was fair price.
