Hi!!
Hopefully, this summer I will be getting my upgrade to a 240
(8' x 2' x 2') and am questioning how much flow I'm going to need. The tank will be a penninsula/room-dividing tank so one of the 2x2 ends will be against the wall with 8 feet of tank sticking out. I will have 2 returns (QuietOne 4000 and 4000HH) plus (my main question) either a Koralia Magnum 6 or Koralia Magnum 7. I am just unsure of which Koralia to get. The 6 has 2200gph and the 7 has 2700gph. The pump will be mounted on the wall-end of the tank. Which pump should I get? Thanks!
P.S. If this does become a reality, I'll create a build-thread for whoever would like to follow...

If possible I would go with BOTH Korillas. Mount one at one end the other at the other. I am running a pair of 4's and a 3 in my 150 and my fish LOVE it. Plus have 1800 gallons in the return from my sump and fuge. My triggers love to go as I call it go body surfing i swear and my DFP his favorite thing to do is smile in the flow of the 3.

Your welcome. I go to a LFS were they have a 150 set up with a total flow fo their Closed loop ALONE is 4800 GPH and this is on a 150 gallon tank then they have 3 Korrilla 4's in there plus a 1200 GPH return from the sump. I have never seen such happy fish, my 280 will have close to that in flow rate if possible IF i can come with the ams to run the fraking pumps. I only have 200 amp service to the house.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! That's one heck of a lot of flow!!!
Ya I hear ya on the power draw... My 125 is on a circuit that has Halogen lights for our barn and the one pump alone draws nearly two amps... If anyone plugs in a hair drier with the lights on, the circuit pops... Oh well, it's only for a short time longer if things go as planned!!!
