clam ID please

anyone know what type of clam is it that is very big (6-8 iches) in size, and doesn't require much light that stays on the bottom of tank? the lfs couldn't come up with a name. from what i know maxima & crosea need lots of light, so i assume it's not them.

Could also be a Derasa. These are usually lower light clams. They almost look like they have a tiger stripe type surface over the clam. More of a peach color (typically) with blue green edges. Their folds from what I have seen do not extend as much as the maximas and such. Pick up the book by Julian Sprung (Invertabrates) and look through it. See what it looks like.

Sorry, on the contrary Deresa clams are not low light clams they are found on shallow water reefs hence intense light clams.
They can tolerate moderate light but will show less color as a result.
