clam let go

this moring my clam was in the sand after letting go of the rock he had been on for almost a year any ideas, it still looks good, just let go..thanks

I have read that juvenile clams will often nestle in the rocks and move to the sand when they are larger, could this be the case with yours?

Larry what kind of clam is it,as u probably know when they are not happy with where they are they will release,is it a deresa,they are sand dwelling clams,or did u do any changes to your lighting lately,new bulbs,etc,etc,those are a few of the reasons

Every picture I've seen of this clam shows him on the very bottom of the tank, even in the LFS's I've been to I've only seen them on the bottom. Maybe he is telling you he likes it on the bottom??
