Clam or not a Clam ?

Not a clam. It looks like a very unhealthy bubble coral. They like low flow, moderate light, and meaty foods. Mine used to enjoy small pieces of shrimp about twice a week.

My water is perfect right now. My bf got this yesterday at @ lfs that was going out of business and he paid $10.00 for it. Is there any chance of getting this guy back to life? and one more question, how can you tell a dieing clam from an healthy one. First time owner.
Thanks.

clams, when clams are dieing they dont open or dont extend their mantels, they get all shriveled up in the shell, and then die, their skin peels off the shell then.

I assume you have good light. If your water parameters are good you have the two basics done. I'd feed the coral a few times a week and just give it time to recover. Good Luck!
