can clams be kept with power compacts?

Dont waste your money on clams without MH. I've never seen a clam in a tank without a MH setup.

They should be fine under 10k, but others may have different opinions. I'm working on my MH setup now so I can get clams.

curious how they do between the two bulbs. i'm about to buy my first clam. i like the 20k bulbs better, for its color. but the 10k's are so much brighter.

My darasa seems to like the light, he was slowly moving toward the light across the sand, so I moved him up on the rock work about 6 inches closer to the top (about halfway up in my tank). It's shell has grown over an 1/8 inch in one month.

crocera clams are found in shallow reefs- often in or atop corals where they recieve intense light all day long
