OK, I feel better. I've seen your tank and WOW! I've never seen my trates go above 20, so I guess I'm ok, though I'll still work on getting it down some.
BTW, how is our mystery leather doing?
Did you ever find out the name?

go to the grocery store and buy a dozen little neck clams from the sea food section, drop them in and instant cleaner clam .... beats the heck out of spending $5.00 each from the LFS for the same thing from the local grocery store for $5.00 a dozen.

Still no name for it, i find another one anywhere on the internet. Hubby has been looking in all the boooks at work and cannot find a thing
I had to reglue him on its rock the other day cause i knocked it off rearranging some things. Its so light, it just floats when not attached, sorta like a beach ball and feels like a marshmellow. i am not seeing much growth either. I was hoping to frag it soon, if i only knew what lighting it likes best that would help. i have it mid tank under MH and it closes up sooner then the other corals, before lights out.
If you do go with the clams in your sump, make sure you can see them, some times they can die and foul up your water, thats the reason i don't do it.

That really is a mystery coral.

I'm not going to get the clams, for the reason you just stated, they might die under my sand and then cause bigger problems. I'll just do my water changes more fequently and it should be fine.

They come out of the sand when the cleaner clams are going to die.
