Clams keep falling over

I have had these clams for about 10 months now and what ever i do i can't keep them standing up they keep falling over on there side. Any sugestions?

All of those clams you've pictured are rock boring clams, and they shouldn't be placed directly ontop of the sandbed. You would be best off placing them high up on the rockwork, where they will be able to receive ample amounts of lighting. T. crocea the strongest byssal gland of the tridacna clams, thus it's important to place them in an area which they can attach their byssal gland to -- the rockwork.

the lfs sells clam shells- put the clam inside the shell so it wont fall over- it will anchor to it so it is mobile
i made a mistake of putting one of my clams on a big rock when i moved tanks i had a difficult time selling the rock up just right
i think clams look better in the sand anyways

The clams pictured are T. crocea. T. maxima is also a rock boring clam.
