Clams? Scallops?

I was observing the new growths on my liverock last night and I noticed something odd.
I have two little clams/scallops. They are about 1/4 inch and one valve is imbedded in the rock, while the other valve opens up slighly to extend a whitish-clear mantle. It appears that they are filter-feeders.
Does anyone know what species this could be...or tell me if they are indeed a clam?

i posred a pick of one in our tank on another site a few month ago and most agreed that it was a clam or oyster of some type but no positive id. mine has grown from half dime size to quarter size seems to be done growing however.

There are quite a few possible bivalves in LR...turkey wing clams, spiny oysters, pen shells - lots of variations in common names, but they are not uncommon hitch hikers...and harmless.
