Clarifier included w/sand?

Hello,
This is my first tank, it's a 29 gal FOWLR (or will be soon!).
Just received an order yesterday that included some sand. It's CaribSea aragonite Ocean Direct "live" sand. Instructions say to put the dry sand in then add the water. After all water added, mix this Bio-Magnet clarifier with some water and add that to the tank. Supposed to make it a less cloudy experience. Also it says you can mix the dry sand in freshwater (i'm using RO) and decant the cloudy water then add to the tank. Says if you do it this way that some of the "bacteria" will be lost. Now, really, we all wonder how much bacteria is in there anyway right? I couldn't afford a lot of live sand, so my plan is to get a couple cups of LS to seed this stuff from my LFS when i get my LR (i know, don't add the sand until LR in place).
Ok, question time. Do you think i should add this clarifier or not? I'm a little uneasy about adding something that i don't know what it is....

i used the clarifier that came with my sand and IMO it did nothing.

If the sand is dead you need to mix it in frshwater to rinse it, The way you do that is put it in a bucket and rinse it out several times till you do not have anymore silt. Don't rinse your live sand in fresh water. Buying large amounts of live sand is not neccesary just a cup or two of live sand will seed the whole bed.
