Clean up crew - new recruits

How often are you guys finding yourselves needing purchase more snails/hermits to make up for dead ones.
I've only had my tank set up for about a year now and already I notice that there is a very small amount of hermits/snails actually left... maybe only 1/3 of the original amount.

Ive had mine for about 6 months, still have all 12 turbos, 7 of 8 nassarius, and like 20 of 25 hermits. Have lost very few and 2 or 3 of the 5 hermits ive lost died right away after i put them in.
How many did you start with? how much lr?

Its a 46 gallon bowfront and it has roughly 70ish lbs of rock. I started with like 10 various snails and 20ish hermits.
