Guys
Is this a good enough clean up crew for my 95 Gallon Wave, Just set it up last week and the cycle is just about done let me know your thoughts
Turbo/Astrea Snail - Group of 20
2 Orange Turbo Snail
1 Sally Lightfoot
1 Jade Hermit - Group of 10
Hawaiian Zebra Crab - Group of 10
Blueleg Hermit Crab - Group of 20
Emerald Crab Group of 3
Peppermint Shrimp - Group of 5
Cleaner Shrimp - 1
Do you guys think I have a good mix and enough coverage?

How much live rock do you have?
Personally i would just do:
Turbo/astrea-20
cerith snails-5
nassarius snails-5
peppermint shrimp-5(if you have lr)
A little down the road maybe add a sea cucumber but thats all i would do for that size. Most cleaner packages have WAY too much ,imo.e.

I have a 90 gallon and I have:
16 or so nassarius snails
4-5 turbos
2 menican snails
2 emeralds
1 large brittle star
Thats it. and I only got the emeralds to clean up a little bubble algae.

I have about 160 Pounds of live rock, and with the cycle it all already has some nice growth. I also have Live sand,
From what I have been reading including looking at the reef packages on this site I seem to have a good mix,
Does anybody else have some thoughts.
Thanks

although buying the reef packages from here is a bargain...it's not necessary and you'll end up with starving animals...
personally, I'd get rid of all those hermits too...Theyr'e more trouble than good IMO...
I have a 125
20 sand sifting snails
14 turbos
10 nassarius
10 astrea
3 peps
2 cleaners
1 cbs
3 emeralds
2 sallys
200lbs LR
260lbs LS
but my tank is also 9 years old...

I tried a few different varieties of hermits the blue leggs seem to be the most trouble killing for their new shells and sport, I'd go with the scarlets, emerald, or hawaiian before i buy another blue leg.

i have to say there is no way in a week your tank is almost done cycling.Especially a tank that big.And sudc imo 20 turbo snails is WAYYY to many

I actually meant to type 10 not 20

Although, between the glass and 160 lbs of live rock, i don't think 20 would be WAY too many.

Not the Biggest fan of Hermit crabs. I still have some in my tank, but I wont be getting any more. They are more trouble then anything else....

I find the hermits entertaining so I have them but be prepared because sooner or later they will get ahold of something that you don't want them to. For me, I like them and I accept that. I think the quantity listed in the proposed list is wwaaayyy to many hermits for a tank twice that size. I have found my scarlets to be the most peaceful. The bluelegs are more predatory and fight so much amongst each other over territory and shells, it takes the fun out of watching them so I no longer have any.

Not sure how you can tell the tank is not cycled, The ammonia spiked and is now falling, I have Live rock and Live sand, There is alage growth Dark Brown all over the sand and the rock, Not sure what other indicators i should be looking for.
Thanks for all your imput on the crabs, I appreciate it, I will cut down on some of the blue leg but I think I am going to go with the rest. Based on what I have read the clean up crew is important.
If anybody has any other opinons keep posting I love reading them.
Thanks

The cycle:
First ammonia spikes (due to LR/LS die off or decaying matter)
ammonia dies off nitrites rise
nitrites peak
nitrites get converted into nitrates
nitrates peaks and nitrites become non-existant END OF CYCLE.
when nitrates are all that is left in your tank then you can do 1 of 2 things
1. assure that your cycle is complete if you did not use a peeled shrimp to cycle add a peeled shrimp to assure bacteria is sufficient to support life.
2. do a water change 50% of total volume until nitrates drop to acceptable levels for life.
