Clean up Crew

I have a 75 gallon with no live rock. I have a yellow tang, coral beauty, clownfish, butterfly, and a valentini puffer. I was wondering if I could get a clean up crew but i think I would need to put my puffer in my other tank. My salt is at 1.016. do you think that this would be possible. Thanks.
Also should I put live rock in my 125. I am going to make it a agressive tank.
Thanks

Ur salt level is way to low. it needs to be at about 1.023.
U need and should have rock in all tanks more in reefs then aggressive. It is the main filteration most people depend on. Maybe u should ask more instead of buying first.....good luck.

Your puffer might find a cleanup crew tasty.
Why would your salinity be 1.016?
yes live rock helps in filtration and is always good to add to a tank, makes fish feel more at home, helps relax them.

I agree, live rock in both tanks and your salinity needs to come up. Inverts are more intolerant of salinity changes than fish and coming from an lfs with normal salinity to your tank would most likely kill them.

Well my lfs keeps there salt level at 1.016 anyway. That is the way they keep the parisites and diseases from there fish. The parisites haven't figured out how to survive in that low of a salt level and keeps your fish from getting sick and it works in my tank. The fish are very healthy and aren't getting sick. It works for me. Now they have told me for inverts the level has to come up of course. I relize that. Which means I probably wouldn't be able to have a clean up crew. I just want something to help clean the bottom of my tank. I have lots of tufa rock in my tank for hiding places. I think i will try live rock in my other tanks though since it is still cycling. i don't have to worry about ammonia strikes.

Ich can survive at 1.016. Believe me I just got over it. To keep it at bay you'd need to be at 1.009 which inverts cannot survive at.

Well of course it isn't going to keep all parisites away but it will prevent some. The fish store is one of the best fish stores i have every been to and have the most knowledgeable people who actual know what they are talking about. I have never gotten a fish there and have it die. They are very healthy fish.
Back to my original question.
Anyway do you think i could gets some snails or crabs for my tank to help with the cleaning? If so what kind.
Thanks for all your help!!!:)

IMO, (from what I read, not experience) a clean up crew wont work with the puffer. Once you move it to your 125 then add them. Wouldn't your tufa rock be considered LR? How long has it been there? Was it seeded? Your original post sounded like there was no rock. Agree with the salinity, but its your tank your choice. It may seem your LFS is the best only b/c you don't realize they aren't, yet. Alot of knowledge and personal experience on this board-- we are not in it for the money, but for the love of the hobby. Something to consider. Not a flame, but to open you up to other ways. :)
