Clean up Crew?

I moved this because it was on the wrong forum:
I just started my second tank and I will be running a 110g fish only tank. Because I will have fish like a trigger I was told that it wouldn't be a good idea to have snails, crabs or any other kind of a clean up crew. I don't want to have to worry about all of the left over food depositing in the sand. Would a brittle star be okay in that kind of a tank to help keep the sand and bottom clean?

I have some large hermit crabs (4) in my fish only tank. Right now I have a clown and a queen trigger. so far they have not killed my hermits.

I have the same question, but I have a Neiger Trigger and a Dog Faced Spotted Puffer. What can I use for a crew?
