I just bought some lr from a fellow reefer, and in with the rock was a coral branded and a cleaner shrimp. What do I feed them, and how do I care for them?

from my experience the cbs will kill the cleaner, not sure if that is typical but my cbs was a hellraiser

CBS are agressive? he seems to just sit and chill, while the cleaner shrimp roams the tank. I haven't decided what do to with the tank I have them in. Are they reef safe? Or sea horse safe?

My mom has a mated pair of CB Shrimp - they have gotten big and are very cool to watch. They do not come out except at feeding time and night. The never bother the corals (she has a variety), but my Mom has been unable to keep other shrimp alive (cleaners, peppermint) so they may be the culprits.

I had one that was fine by itself but would attack other shrimp. Others have reported the same thing. I guess it really comes down to the size of the tank and the temperament of the CBS but do not be surprised if he becomes aggressive.

well, I'll keep this in mind, I definately like my cleaner shrimp better, love the racing stripes, maybe I'll stick the cbs in with the puffer and see how long it lasts. But right now he is being civil and I spoke with the former owner and he never had a problem with em.

I second that one, Lazypinoy, mine used to try to catch the cleaner but seems to have given up unless it happens to be right in front of him. The cleaner just swims away.

That is an awesome set of hitchikers. They are worth like 45 together from my fish stores. And they are super beneficial for your tank. The cleaner's have great personalities. Mine cleans my fingers whenever I put my hands in the tank.

Well right now they are in a separate tank. My puffer will think they are tasty little snacks. But They are soo cool.
