cleaner clam came up after nine months
is this norm?water per norm .
i remember when i got it within an hour it
burried its self ,no matter how many times
i dug it up .

If he is shut, then he is more than likely ok. I'd just stick him back in the sand and monitor him to see that he starts digging again.

Like Denise said, if he is shut he's okay. I have some cleaners that have never buried themselves. If he dies he will open up wide, and your cleanup crew will have a feast. Get it out ASAP if it dies.
