Cleaner Shrimp known for killing Xenia?

I received 4 frags of Xenia yesterday from a fellow reefer here in town, as well as 4 Kenya Trees FOR FREE!!!
Right after putting them in my DT I noticed one of my Cleaner Shrimps were picking at one of them, not just cleaning it but literally picking it apart. I was so mad. I quickly chased him away and dropped some food in to distract him then moved the Xenia to another location. Well this morning all but one Xenia frag has been heavily picked apart!!!!!!
My Kenya Trees are fine, but is this common for the Cleaner Shrimp to do this, because I'm about ready to yank them out of my tank!!!

I dont know AZ? All that free coral? I think he might have the hots for you! Expect a lunch date offer soon! lol
Do you have the white pom pom or the brown waving? I have the Brown waving and cleaners never seem to go near it? Nor have I heard reports of Cleaners picking at them, maybe hes curious and it is a feeling out process and he will leave them alone soon, Hopefully!

Well, he's married, I'm married, and that would be a big NO! This guys tank was awesome, 180 gall with a lot of Xenia and Kenya, so I'm sure he was glad to give it away.
The Xenia is more green than brown, very pretty, or should I say WAS. I have one good frag left and the cleaner better stay away or he's bought himself a one way ticket back to the lfs!!!

I have tons of xenia in my tank and the cleaners never touch it. If you had camel backs i would say yeah, they can eat different corals, but not usually cleaner shrimp, thats odd
