Cleaner shrimp picking at new feather duster

I am wondering if anyone knows if this is normal behavior?
1 cleaner shrimp
1 hawaiin feather duster.
They are at oppostite sides of the tank.
I first thought the cleaner was trying to prune the crown, but I saw him snip about a 7mm section off of it and fun it through his mouth before discarding it. The feather duster has come back out since, and the shrimp has done it again. I have not done some divine intervention in the tank when the shrimp get's close.
Anyone else see this behavior too?
Thanks, Harris

harris, We have never had a problem with our cleaning shrimp picking at our featherdusters. Hopefully someone will have any answer to your post. Lisa

Lisa thanks, he stopped, I think he/she was just checking it out when I first put it in.
All seems well now.

What type of cleaner shrimp was this? Was it a coral banded? I have had the combination many times in the past few decades & have never seen or heard of this. It goes to show that each fish/ invert can have their own personality!!
Hopefully it leaves your f duster alone.... :)
