for livestock, yes its about 4 times the price. the quarantine restrictions and shipping costs are astronomical! Although, it does make you a much more attentive aquarist because its so hard to get "good quality" livestock.
In W.A liverock has now gone up too $23 per kg because it is now not allowed to be aquacultered (hope this wont last for ever because im going broke)

They're fun to watch. They look nice. And if they weren't aquacultured, they had a long plane ride over here. (Airfare isn't all that cheap anymore!) They're worth it, IMO.

everything is soooooooo expensive here (well seems cheap to us but compared to the U.S.A

$100 for a cleaner. Id sooner get a dog! Wait thats not in us dollars. Whats the conversion rate.

yeah the great barrier reef but thats on the opposite side of australia to where i live so therefore they get the first dibs on anything that comes out of that reef. We have a place called Coral Bay about 14 hours north of me and that place is beautiful but doesnt quite have the selection of corals and fish that the great barrier has.
