Cleaner shrimp problem

Just a little note for anyone considering one of these critters. I have had mine 3 months, and it's been a problem from the start. It won't let me feed the corals(eats anything I give them, even if they're closed around the food, he digs in and gets it out). Then yesterday I bought a small pulsing zenia, and the shrimp was immediately on it, ripping pieces off it, and eating them. It is completely gone this morning. I am trying to catch the shrimp, but it knows I'm after him.
I wonder how it would taste sautee'd in some butter

Not really a problem, try and feed the shrimp first, allow it to get it's fill. It should be fine then, I have 2, a skunk and a blood, as long as I feed them first then there is no problem.

I have three cleaner shrimps. When I feed them, they will come to my hand. If you feed them frequently, they usually would not bother the corals.

I know it's not starving. It gets more than it's share of food every night when I feed the fish. I'm moving the tank on the 8th of next month. If it continues to be a problem, I'll catch it then. I wonder how it would like living in the sump I will try feeding it more.

It sounds like they haven't been getting enough. My cleaners have never bothered my corals, but I also make sure when I feed the fish that some drop to the bottom for them only!

I have two cleaners, one coral banded, one pepermint, and one blood shrimp. None of my boys have ever bothered a coral, or went ballistic when I try to feed the fish or the corals. Maybe your shrimp needs theropy, but the more obvious answer is THESE GUYS ARE HUNGRY!

I have a mated pair of cleaners and a mated pair of coralbanded along with 2 peppermint and i have had sum problems eedign my anenome because i feed it raw shrimp and the shrimp love it but then i decided to drop a couple of nice size peice int eh tank for the shrimps then feed the anenome it works great try it
