Cleaner shrimp

hi!! I have huge cleaner shrimp the body is almost 3 inch, i think i saw eggs last month,my question is this,can i buy another one? maybe find a male

How long have you had it? How does it have eggs if its the only one?

Thats wy i ask, because i'm not sure , i saw all the litle rond buble(like yellow caviar)attached to her belly but she ate them after a couple of days? maybe she can have eggs without the male but since there nobody to fertilise them she eats them??

i have it for more than a year,and she molted every 2-3 weeks!

you can keep more >1 skunk cleaner in a tank. they also may readily produce eggs, but the odds of any progeny surviving is very slim.

I have 2 and they get along very well. They have about a 1/2 inch size difference and do everything together, even molt 1 day apart I've had them 2 months.

So are cleaners asexual? I didnt think they were but I cant figure out why yours would have eggs if there is only one in the tank....

no, not asexual. Chickens produce eggs without a male...and actually so do you!!
But no, without a male they won't be fertilized. Your shrimp would probably enjoy a partner though.

Cleaners (skunks) do not bother each other at all. You can have many.
