cleaner shrimp

can i put a cleaner shrimp in with a porcupine puffer, yellow tang and 5 line wrasse, i know i can with the tang, i had a cleaner wrasse in it but he would not leave the puffer alone. thanks

The puffer would eat the shrimp easily. It is part of their diet.

I have a coral banded and a cleaner shrimp with my porc. He doesn't bother either...my snails on the other hand have to be replenished every couple of weeks. He swims around the shrimp all the time and never gives them a 2nd look.

I have a cleaner shrimp with 2 triggers and they leave it alone. They even let the shrimp clean them.

Thats great, but you are really lucky. Shrimp are part of their natural diet so this is definitely the exception and not the rule.

i read an atricle in marine fish and reef 06 that said "it seems astonishing that small fish and shrimp can clean larger, even predatory fish species of parasites, and in return, receive immunity from predation themselves."
i have a snow flake aprox 14 inch a cleaner shrimp and 2 coral banded for about 2 yrs no problems
