Cleaner Shrimp

is it safe to have to cleaner shrimp in a 55g tank? There is more than enough rockwork. I just wanna know ASAP because my one in the tank now is a bum. Never does anything

Cleaner shrimp don't do much, LOL they clean the fish if there is something to clean. Mine had a ich problem and he helped to clear things up. Now that the ich is gone he just hangs out in the rocks.
You can have several in a 55g

i have yet to see mine move off the rocks since they were acclimated...the move all around the rocks but usually just let everything come to them. always fun to watch though.

I have a Skunk cleaner in my 55gal. He moves all around the tank, eats like a pig, has molted more times than I can count, and I have caught him cleaning my fish more than a few times. He is really cool. We had an awesome Fire Shrimp too, but he seems to have disappeared in the last couple of weeks. I have about decided my monster condi had him for dinner....

you can definitely have the shrimp. i have 2 in my 46 and they're very aggressive cleaners lol. every time i stick my hand in the tank, they jump on me! i haven't seen them clean the fish in a while, but i guess if it's not necessary, they don't do it.
