Cleaner shrimps dying

The dots are black ich. You need to get the fish out and into a hospital tank. The black dots are worms that grow on the fish. They will fall off from the fish and hatch new eggs. You need to siphon out the tank. The young worms will develop on the tanks floor. I your tang scraping itself on the rocks or the substrate. This is a sign of the black ich. Besides the black dots on the fish.

To get a tang out of a tank without disturbing the rocks you can use fishing line tied to a small barbless hook with some enticing piece of food at the end. Of coarse, you have to hook the fish when it bites before it swallows the hook, but this shouldn't be too hard. To make a barbless hook, just take a pair of pliers and bend the barb into the hook. Use this advice at your own risk!

Finally got him out! Had to tear everything apart though. It's now in my 75g f/o tank. My lfs told me to use this medicine that is reef-safe to kill the ick, so now that's gone. However, my two clowns are now dead. :( So now, there's nothing in my tank except the corals, some snails, and crabs. I just tested the water and the ammonia and nitrite are still higher than it should be. Is my tank going through a recycling period? I've tried everything from water changes to chemicals. I might just have to wait I guess.
