Cleaning a LTP????

OK...I have a Long tentacle plate...it seems very happy :)....I have noticed some sand on it though....do I pick it up and clean it off...or do I let it take care of itself
I have NOT touched it (i'm so proud of me..lol) I am taking the patience road..and the ask first approach

SOOOO...clean it...or let it clean itself??
p.s......it's not a lot of sand

I have not touched it since it has been placed in the tank...really....I mean it

NOPE...it's green.....it's tentacles are almost always out...and long....it puffs up periodically....yesterday morning it looked like a softball...lol...IDK a lot about these things, but I think it's happy....(YAY)
