Cleaning A Tank

what is the best thing to use to clean a tank to get water stains and stuff off the glass, and other things i dont want on there??? ive heard vinegar, but i pretty much throw up when i smell that stuff so is there anything other than vinegar i can use??

distilled vinegar will work good to remove calcium and lime deposits and is about the only "safe" cleaner you can use in the tank that I know of. Checked out your other threads tank in coming along well it looks
The only concern that I had is the noise from the drains to the sump you should make a sort of difusing pipe on the end of the drains like this and run them to the bottom of the sump. This is how the new mega flow sumps from all-glass are now made.

im going to have more piping comming off the drains, im not completely done with it yet. will post more as it progersses, i ordered all my stuff thursday. $2200 bux for everything, then a circuit box went out on my furnace creating another $1700 bill. CAN I EVER GET AHEAD?? but on a better note the tank should be up by friday of next week, everything is scheduled to be dilivered by wednesday!!

water rag and elbow grease ...your tanlking about the outside correct? :thinking: if its real bad use distilled vinigar
