cleaning live rock

I have lots of aptaisia anenomes on my live rock.I cannot buy the peppermint shrimps because i have a snowflake eel and my wife will not let me get rid of him.so can i scrub the live rock in the sink with freshwater to get rid of these or will i kill the live rock?

If I'm not mistaken fresh water will kill everything living in the live rock. I think there are certin fish that will eat those buggers. Be patient someone with more knowledge will point you in the right direction. Later Lisa

Get a syringe filled with kalkwasser and inject them. Kalkwasser is very caustic, but will not hurt your tank- actually it is good for it.
Do a search on Kalkwasser for mixing and other specifics.

Hey,
If you don't have kalkwasser, you can make a solution of very salty water with your saltwater mix, load that in your syringe and squirt it into the pest anemone.

the thing is i only have a fex big ones and about 50 - 75 little ones.

I filled a syringe with just HOT water....haven't seen the two aiptasia's since then!
