After doing many massive water changes i think i've finally solved the algae problem. now i only get some algae on the sand wherever there isn't any current and on the glass.
a mag float takes care of the glass and i'll play with my korallia's for the sand. Its nice to no longer have 3" long hair algae growing from all my rocks.
