Cleaning my tank. Need some input.

Hello Everyone,
I will be starting my 72 gallon tank up, but first it needs some serious cleaning. I have heard that the best thing to use is vinager and water. So I went and purchased some, I picked up some RO water to to clean with too. I will be giving everything a good cleaning and then a good rinsing. Do you have any suggestions on cleaning out the tank, the filters out or the protein skimmer?

Tank, I just used tap water (the hose out side or the tube depending on size of the tank) and good ol' soap. But vingar is good too.
I just rinse filters, unless course they still running, then you don't want to kill the good stuff. But otherwise, take everything apart and rinse with water. You can use a new sponge to clean with if you want. I used a brillo (sp?) sponge (one side is rough) to clean the fliter.
