Cleaning trash can

I have a 30G trash can that I use for w/c's (just bought a new 50G :) )
ANYWAY...I did a 25g change today and noticed at the bottom it has "stuff" a whitish residue....which I am sure is salt residue.....I have filled it up 1/3 of the way (that's where the white ends) and put bleach in it....will that be good enough to clean this, or do I need to do something else?
I plan on continuing to use this 25G for other w/c purposes

If I am not mistaken, it is percipitate. It is a calcium build up from the new salt water being mixed up. I would use vinegar to remove it myself.

LOL...OK...I have it outside covered, and with bleach right now.....I am going to let it soak for a couple of days

Bleach works too. Doesn't take long. I think I leave it over night cause I'm lazy like that. Then I pour out the bleach, pour in some pond dechlor and water, rinse again and it's good to go.
On other days I use vinegar.... no reason why.

I've got to do mine too. The last water change I did, the bottom of the can was pretty white and nasty.
