I came across some used equiptment from a freind of mine who basically just left his tank die and he gave me some power heads and even i wet/dry..........its all been in a dead tank for about a month.......what is the best way to clean it all?
Soak the items in a solution of water and bleach. Rinse well and let them sit for a couple of days. Should be well disinfected and ready to go.

Bleach is good for general purpose cleaning. Vinegar is excellent for removing scale and calcium carbonate deposits. The bleach needs to be rinsed out very very well. There's no need to rinse out the vinegar.
