How often do you clean your pumps, skimmers, filters, ect?

1 time every month to two, with white vinegar and hot water. I then rinse with cold water.
BTW: you can push the edit button and delete mistaken posts, if you know what I mean.

Anything that says pure distilled white vinegar. I don't really think that brand matters.

What is the purpose of the white vinegar?

It removes deposits from moving and stationary parts, ie...salt, lime, calcium, and whatever else your equiptment has built up on it. However, if you have a piece of equipment with nice coralline build up and you want to keep it, then I would recommend preventing the vinegar from touching the coraline.
