cleanup crew vs. nitrites

hello everyone,
Are clean-up crews as sensitive to trItes as fish are?
my 5 month cycle is finally nearing it's end. my nitrites aren't quite at zero yet, I know its too early for fish, but is it too early for a clean up crew? I'm starting to collect a lot of brown algea.
If so, what is the best for brown algea?

Brown algea is just a step in the cycle, i wouldnt add a clean up crew untill you start to see green algae. Snails are more sensitive to nitrates than fish.
