get 3 astrea snails and 3 hermit crabs (blue legs or scarlets)
see where things go from there. what kind of lights do u plan on?

you wont need a big cleanup crew if u dont have big powerful lights usually. i didnt get hair algae until i got PC lights. just diatoms, which the snails took care of

filter, and live rock and live sand have bacteria that "dissolve" it. nassarrious snails eat waste also, so im told...

Thanks!

5 Nassarius Snails
10 Red Leg or Zebra Hermit Crabs
2 Peppermint Shrimp
3 BumbleBee Snails
1 Fighting Conch
You should have one cleaner per gallon, this is a good start.

not really duke, the tank just cycled, what are these animals suppose to eat?
dont get a fighting conch, it will eventually starve in such a small, unestablished tank. take it slow

with all due respect reefy, i agree with Duke. first of all, there will be plenty of algae on the LR for the crabs. the nassarius snails will do well in the sand with the detritus. the turbos and ceriths will take care of the algae film on the glass.
jtrigger, remember that this board has LOTS of opinions and everyone's is valid. listen to MANY and weigh them before making a decision. what works for one person may not work for another.
Good luck with ur new tank and WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!

It's up to you if you want to get the Conch. However, the critters on the list are highly recommended at this point of your tank.

Big911Dog, what i meant was...
sure there is plenty on the rocks...right now. when they eat that up and the tank does not have "strong lights" they will slowly run out of food.
just MO
