Does this sound good for a cleanup crew? 46 gal bow with 70lbs LR...
20 blue leg hermits
10 turbo/astrea snails
5 nassarius snails
1 emerald crab
2 cleaner shrimps

Is your algae brown or RED?
If it's RED, that isn't algae. You have a Cyano Bacteria problem and it needs to be dealt with manually (syphon it out, tape a tooth brush to the end of your syphon and scrape the rocks - nothing eats Cyano).
As for a clean up crew, I would add about 20 Cerith Snails. I'd also add one Fighting Conch.

Its brown. I just had a major diatom outbreak(newly cycled tank).

Just a warning the turbo snails will fall and get eatin. You can righten them so they wont die but you wont be there all the time and sometimes they will fall behind rockwork or at night. I started with 11 and have 3 left.

Im in Levittown. I got everything from Pet Experience in Bethpage. I got some stuff from Fishtown USA in Queens. And i recommend Mutts N Butts in Merrick. They have a nice selection.

Yeah Snipe,
I started with 6 and at this point, I can only find 1. Poor things. So, do you replace your snails? Just wondering.

Its alright teen not very often you find someone who is local and you cant pm so you have to post to them somewere.
I dont replace them "well" I did but with other snails. I personally like the nassarius "perfect for the over feeder in your live lol" Mexican turbos "good for the glass and rockwork mostly glass" Crabs good for the rock and sand"

Fishtown is great. They are very knowledgable. I used to live in Bayside so im always around there. Mutts N Butts is also good. I havent bought anything from them yet but they have some nice corals and fish. I work right next door so its convenient. The place is well kept. Tanks are clean. Staff is friendly. I would have to say Fishtown has a lil more of a selection though. Worth the drive. Teen where in LI are you?

im in mastic beach in suffolk county, about 30-45 mins from fishtown usa. i have this place about 10 mins away from me called country critters. they have amazing reef and fish tanks, but in most cases double the prices of fishtown. if u ever want to split an order on this site, i would be willing to meet u half way to split the order :) im not to sure though if im gonna be doing any live orders by mail yet though. u have any experience with them?
