Cleanup crew

MY tank finished cycling and after a week of steady readings, I got my cleanup crew (from this site). I also added a cleaner shrimp and shaving brushes to the order. After acclimating everyone for 2+ hours, they all went succcessfully into the tank, or so I thought. The cleaner shrimp seemed to be a little freaked out and wasn't moving too much, just looking around. The coral banded saw this as a golden opportunity. He snuck around the rock and all of a sudden two white claws shoot out and before you could blink, bye bye cleaner shrimp.
The coral shrimp molted the next day, normal in a new tank? Anyway, the real reason for the post, after they eat all of the algae, do they just eat the detritus or do I need to feed them? If I feed them, what do they eat? Oh by the way the crew cosists of:
Scarlet Hermit Crab: 20
Blueleg Hermit Crab: 20
Turbo/Astrea Snail: 20
Nasssarius Snail: 10
Emerald Crab: 3
Coral Banded Shrimp: 1
Feather Duster: 2
What do the feather dusters eat? Also, they stand up in the sand fine but over night they seem to fall over. Any suggestios?

Everything should be fine eating left overs. You will see the crabs "A come running" when you feed the fish. Any plans on fish list? What size of tank, filter, lights etc? What are you paramaters at? I have only seen feather dusters with their tubes laying down and their feathers upreaching. They are filter filters as what I have been told. Since you don't have fish in there, I don't know how they would eat. Hopefully someone else will haVE THE ANSWER. Anyways, welcome and good luck. You picked the right place to get help.

Not sure I agree....
The astrea snails will not be fine with leftovers... Once the algae is gone - they will die. Although the feeding of DT's (in the correct manner) will help algae grow on the glass for them to eat hopefully.
For the rest of them - I would suggest you sink a cocktail shrimp about once a week - this will give them something to eat - and should provide you with some entertainment as 54 creatures all fight over it :)
