Cleanup Crew?

I have the same tank as you and I bought one of this sites smaller clean up crews. It was way too much. I had way too many hermit crabs and they started attacking my corals.
I suggest you buy one of the build it your own thing and don't get many hermit crabs.
What is it they clean up? They really do not do much in my tank. The snails do wonderful but the hermits ate most of them.

BluTang,
Normally I'd suggest a bunch of snails and some hermit crabs but your puffer would probably have them for lunch.
How about a spong.....the kind you hold with your hand ;)

Well, how many is too many...that was part of my question.......so I guess turbo snails are a good choice to clean the glass?

The puffer won't stay little forever......
IF you chose to buy snails, get a mix of cerith, nerite and trocus (turbo). You also might want to consider some hermits. If you're having an algea problem, you'll want up to one snail per gallon and 1/2 hermit crab per gallon. If you don't currently have lots of algea, back off on the numbers.

I had 2 small spotted puffers in with some large turbos. They would head butt them off the glass and when they fell the ripped off the bottem protection and eat it out of the shell. Size does not matter to them a big snail (almost 2x there size) is just a bigger lunch. I would feed them 2-3 times a day and they were fat, so they werent hungry they are just natural hunters. At least that is my experience.
Hope it helps

I will definitely watch the puffer, I'll probably just bring one home at first to see what happens.
