Ugh!
So I hear click click click and next thing I know I see this thing out of no where hiding under a clam.
It is fast as he||!

If this is a mantis, how the heck do I catch it and get rid of it?

yup. looks like it to me. There are traps you can use, or if you see it go into a whole in a piece of rock you can remove, set up a bucket with water, and place the rock in there until it comes out.
There are many people who will take them

Get a 12" or so PVC pipe and a cap, put a shrimp in it and wait for him to go in after it, then carefully remove it from your tank.

Dead uncooked?
LOL... might be a dumb question but how long does this usually take for him to "Sense" the shrmp and go after it...?

Find someone who wants it. It is a shame that people kill these guys.

I dont even know if he will make it thru this cycle. Ammonia @ ~1.0 right now, creeping up slowly.
I am going to keep him until I get fish anywho, he is kinda fun to watch... wickedly fast.

Im 99% sure I now have two.
I saw the second one today on the other side of the tank and he was beautiful. His shell was blue and his claws and body were mostly red. The other one, that I just saw briefly for about 20 seconds is all gray and a little smaller.
For the last 10 mins I keep hearing clicks going back and forth between the two sides of the tank...
