I have heard clicking as well - turned out to be turbo snail doing a spin with their shell and hitting the glass or rock at the same time.

If you have a pistol shrimp, that's probably what you're hearing. My pistol is loud, it sounds like someone snapping their fingers most of the time. Sometimes it's not as loud, but themajority of the time it is.
Just something to keep in the back ofyour mind, certain fish make very soft clicking sounds (clownfish are one species that has been known to do this, although I've never personally experienced it).

hmmm so i guess it could be my naked clown but prob my pistol huh... the pistol does have one claw bigger than the other!
Another question is should i turkey baster some food by or into his burrow to make sure he eats? Ive seen the hi-fin goby around the tank and in the burrow but have yet to see the shrimp out of his burrow!

My striped damsels would make a clicking noise when I would turn the lights out.
