I know what clorine (total clorine) is...but I don't know what cloramine (free clorine) is.
I have been testing my water regualarly and the clorine level is 0. I use an aditive to my water when I age it that removes clorine and provides slime for the fish. I follor the instrucitons on the amount.
The Free Clorine (Cloramine) is at .5
Is this too high? How do you remove this, and what is Cloramine?

You can buy additives that remove Chlorine and Chloramine in the same bottle.
You must be using tap water right?

I used to add tap water....I added a RO unit Friday.
That also cleared up my Amonia problem in the ages salt water I made.
Doesn't appear to clear up the cloramine. I will double check.

I have a big rubbermaid container that I mix up the saltwater so it could age. I was having problems with Amonia in that. Installing a RO cleared up the Amonia problem.
It did not reduce the cloramine.
