If we could get a good thread going on this subject, it would be great for the archieves. I know we had discussions previously, but lost all the good pictures with the BB upgrade.

Do you want to drill for your CL or do it over the top. How much flow/size pump and what size pump is on your return all ready?

it would be over the top. tank already drilled on bottom. the tanks not set up yet, but my sump, fuge will be 55 gal tank. still working on all the plumbing for that. will prob use a mag 12 for return.

Does your tank have duel OFs like an AGA RR tank or single OF box. For an external pump around 1200gph plus your sump pump will give you around 13x to 15x turn over depending on how much head pressure and fittings ect.
Do you understand pluming very well like ball valves and fittings ect. Many details to cover if not.
This is just a quick sketch I made of one way so it moves water down low in the tank. It does not show all nessery fittings and pipe sizes. 1001 ways to make a CL.
