Closed Loop

Hello everyone, I need some information. What is a closed loop system and how does it work? What equipment do you need to set on up in a 90ga set up? Thanks in advance for all your help and advise.

closed loop system is for addittional flow without equip in the display tank.
It draws from the tank and then pumps back into the tank through a single pump.
Equipment needed is a pump and some pipe/tubing.
Simple yet very effective way to increase flow while keeping the clutter out of the display.

you'll need a hold drilled in the tank somewhere, unless you use a self-priming pump.

I am looking at a tank for sale by another member, it is acylic and already has 3 holes drilled in the back. So the only bennefit is additional flow hugh?

it's a great benefit. you will see that you will run out of space very quickly in your 90. i've already run out of space in my 195.
also, the external pumps shed alot of their heat outside the tank. powerheads utilize the water to cool themselves.
and lastly, who wants to see powerheads when they look into their display?

im thinkin about doing a closed loop myself for my 90g..karalia powerheads are huge...im lookin at black pvc so it blends in with my black background...
