closed up zoos

I have had my 30 gallon reef set up for a couple of years, and I have never had any coral problems before. In fact, right now I'd say 99% of them are in such good health that I need to slow their growth before I get that 55 set up (especially the colt coral and hammer coral)! Except my zoos. They aren't dying, but they also do not open up as wide as they had in the past. They don't stay completely closed, but I would like to see them extend themselves like they used to. Since nothing else in the tank has any problem at all, I doubt if it is a water quality problem. What do you think it is? I'll post "before" and "after" pictures if you need them.

The temp stays around 76-78 degrees. They are sitting on top of a rock underneath an arm of my colt...perhaps not enough light? The colt just extended right over the zoos (doesn't touch them though). Should I place the flow from a powerhead directly on them too?

They for sure like a lot of light, so if your colt recently grew to cast shade on them, they would probably go for a location change. Mine seem to like a good amount of current too, but not really full on hurricane winds.
